July 13-15 | Kāneʻohe, Oʻahu

A focused professional learning experience for PreK-Grade 2 educators, blending research-based Positive Discipline with Hawaiʻi-centered social-emotional learning. Register for 1, 2, or all 3 days based on your goals.

Day 1: Foundations of Connection

Positive Discipline Part 1: Understand the psychology behind behavior and build classrooms grounded in kindness and firmness.

Day 2: Classroom Application

Positive Discipline Part 2: Practice communication tools, problem-solving meetings, and implementation strategies. Attend Days 1 & 2 to earn official Positive Discipline Certification.

Day 3: Hawaiʻi-Centered SEL

Apply social-emotional learning within a culturally responsive framework rooted in Aloha and belonging. Participants leave with practical, trauma-informed tools to strengthen relationships, reduce power struggles, and create classrooms where every child feels respected and capable.

HIKI partners with CSI-designated schools to meet ESSA requirements while building the cultural and instructional conditions that sustain improvement. We support evidence-based planning, embedded coaching, and implementation grounded in ʻāina, Nā Hopena Aʻo, and community, so improvement plans move from compliance to daily practice.

A hybrid cohort for developing system-level leadership capacity. The HIKI Leadership Series helps leaders design systems that reflect their community’s values and embody the HĀ outcomes. Leaders leave with the strategies, tools, and relationships they need to guide implementation across their schools and systems.  Participants engage in:

– Vision setting and alignment
– Curriculum and instruction design
– Strategic improvement and data-informed planning
– Culturally grounded leadership practice
