Integrated Professional Learning for System Coherence

Best suited for: schools, complex areas, districts, and ministries seeking coherent improvement, culturally grounded professional learning, and durable implementation support.

Learning from Place is PAF HIKI’s integrated professional learning approach that supports educators and leaders to strengthen school improvement, instructional practice, and leadership coherence through learning designed from ʻāina, culture, and community.

Delivered through immersive institutes, leadership cohorts, field-based learning, coaching, and practical implementation tools, Learning from Place partners with Hawaiʻi DOE schools, Pacific ministries, charter systems, universities, and community organizations to build culturally grounded, place-based practice that holds up in daily instruction and system operations.

This service helps schools and systems align curriculum, instruction, and leadership with community values and Hawaiʻi’s Nā Hopena Aʻo (HĀ), Belonging, Responsibility, Excellence, Aloha, Total Well-Being, and Hawaiʻi, moving improvement efforts from isolated initiatives to coherent, sustainable practice.
